  • Western blot analysis of SND1 using anti-SND1 antibody (M02602-2). The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions.
    Lane 1: Hela whole cell lysates,
    Lane 2: Raji whole cell lysates,
    Lane 3: U87 whole cell lysates,
    Lane 4: rat stomach tissue lysates,
    Lane 5: rat pancrease tissue lysates,
    Lane 6: mouse stomach tissue lysates,
    Lane 7: mouse pancrease tissue lysates.
    After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with mouse anti-SND1 antigen affinity purified monoclonal antibody (M02602-2) at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-mouse IgG-HRP secondary antibody (Catalog # BA1050). The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate (Catalog # AR1197). A specific band was detected for SND1 at approximately 110 kDa. The expected band size for SND1 is at 102 kDa.

    SND1 was detected in an immunocytochemical section of PC-3 cells. The section was incubated with mouse anti-SND1 Antibody (M02602-2) at a dilution of 1:100. Dylight488-conjugated Anti-mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (green)(Catalog#BA1126) was used as secondary antibody. The section was counterstained with DAPI (Catalog # AR1176) (Blue).

  • Flow Cytometry analysis of Hela cells using anti-SND1 antibody (M02602-2).
    Overlay histogram showing Hela cells stained with M02602-2 (Blue line). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with permeabilization buffer. The cells were blocked with 10% normal goat serum. And then incubated with mouse anti-SND1 Antibody (M02602-2) at 1:100 dilution for 30 min at 20°C. DyLight®488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG (BA1126) was used as secondary antibody at 1:100 dilution for 30 minutes at 20°C. Isotype control antibody (Green line) was mouse IgG at 1:100 dilution used under the same conditions. Unlabelled sample without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody (Red line) was used as a blank control.

Staphylococcal nuclease domain-containing protein 1 also known as 100 kDa coactivator or Tudor domain-containing protein 11 (TDRD11) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SND1 gene. This gene encodes a transcriptional co-activator that interacts with the acidic domain of Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen 2 (EBNA 2), a transcriptional activator that is required for B-lymphocyte transformation. Other transcription factors that interact with this protein are signal transducers and activators of transcription, STATs. This protein is also thought to be essential for normal cell growth. A similar protein in mammals and other organisms is a component of the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC).
