Western blot analysis of COL10A1 using anti-COL10A1 antibody (BA2023). The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions.
Lane 1: rat liver tissue lysates,
Lane 2: human MCF-7 whole cell lysates,
Lane 3: human Hela whole cell lysates,
Lane 4: human SMMC whole cell lysates,
Lane 5: human COLO320 whole cell lysates.
After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-COL10A1 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (BA2023) at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody (Catalog # BA1054). The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate (Catalog # AR1197). A specific band was detected for COL10A1 at approximately 66 kDa. The expected band size for COL10A1 is at 66 kDa.

COL10A1 was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of rat trachea tissue. The tissue section was incubated with rabbit anti-COL10A1 Antibody (BA2023) at a dilution of 1:200 and developed using HRP Conjugated Rabbit IgG Super Vision Assay Kit (Catalog # SV0002) with DAB (Catalog # AR1027) as the chromogen.

背景资料

This gene encodes the alpha chain of type X collagen, a short chain collagen expressed by hypertrophic chondrocytes during endochondral ossification. Unlike type VIII collagen, the other short chain collagen, type X collagen is a homotrimer. Mutations in this gene are associated with Schmid type metaphyseal chondrodysplasia (SMCD) and Japanese type spondylometaphyseal dysplasia (SMD).
