Western blot analysis of Cytokeratin 14/KRT14 using anti-Cytokeratin 14/KRT14 antibody (A01432-3). The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions.
Lane 1: human A431 whole cell lysates,
Lane 2: human Hacat whole cell lysates.
After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-Cytokeratin 14/KRT14 antigA03957-Aen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (A01432-3) at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody (Catalog # BA1054). The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate (Catalog # AR1197). A specific band was detected for Cytokeratin 14/KRT14 at approximately 52 kDa. The expected band size for Cytokeratin 14/KRT14 is at 52 kDa.

Cytokeratin 14, also known as cytokeratin-14 (CK-14) or keratin-14 (KRT14), is a member of the type I keratin family of intermediate filament proteins. In humans it is encoded by the KRT14 gene. This gene product, a type I keratin, is usually found as a heterotetramer with two keratin 5 molecules, a type II keratin. Mutations in the genes for these keratins are associated with epidermolysis bullosa simplex. At least one pseudogene has been identified at 17p12-p11.
