Western blot analysis of A2LD1/GGACT using anti-A2LD1/GGACT antibody (A13576-1). The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions.
Lane 1: human THP-1 whole cell lysates,
Lane 2: mouse lung tissue lysates,
Lane 3: mouse brain tissue lysates.
After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-A2LD1/GGACT antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (A13576-1) at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody (Catalog # BA1054). The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate (Catalog # AR1197). A specific band was detected for A2LD1/GGACT at approximately 17 kDa. The expected band size for A2LD1/GGACT is at 17 kDa.

背景资料

The protein encoded by this gene aids in the proteolytic degradation of crosslinked fibrin by breaking down isodipeptide L-gamma-glutamyl-L-epsilon-lysine, a byproduct of fibrin degradation. The reaction catalyzed by the encoded gamma-glutamylaminecyclotransferase produces 5-oxo-L-proline and a free alkylamine. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
