Western blot analysis of WNT5A using anti-WNT5A antibody (BA2839). The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions.
Lane 1: human Hela whole cell lysates.
After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-WNT5A antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (BA2839) at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody (Catalog # BA1054). The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate (Catalog # AR1197). A specific band was detected for WNT5A at approximately 55 kDa. The expected band size for WNT5A is at 42 kDa.

WNT5A was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of human lung cancer tissue. The tissue section was incubated with rabbit anti-WNT5A Antibody (BA2839) at a dilution of 1:200 and developed using HRP Conjugated Rabbit IgG Super Vision Assay Kit (Catalog # SV0002) with DAB (Catalog # AR1027) as the chromogen.

Protein Wnt-5a is a protein that in humans is encoded by the WNT5A gene. This gene is a member of the WNT gene family. The WNTs comprise a large class of secreted proteins that control essential developmental processes such as embryonic patterning, cell growth, migration, and differentiation. It is mapped to 3p14.3. WNT5A is highly expressed in the dermal papilla of depilated skin. This protein plays an essential role in regulating developmental pathways during embryogenesis. And this protein may also play a role in oncogenesis. WNT5A and DVL can promote axon differentiation mediated by the PAR3-PAR6-aPKC complex.
