Western blot analysis of anti-GM130/GOLGA2 antibody (BM4035). The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions.
Lane 1: human Hela whole cell lysates,
Lane 2: human MCF-7 whole cell lysates,
Lane 3: human 293T whole cell lysates,
Lane 4: human U251 whole cell lysates,
Lane 5: rat RH-35 whole cell lysates,
Lane 6: mouse Neuro-2a whole cell lysates.
After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-GM130/GOLGA2 antigen affinity purified monoclonal antibody (BM4035) at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody (Catalog # BA1054). The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate (Catalog # AR1197). A specific band was detected for GM130/GOLGA2 at approximately 150 kDa. The expected band size for GM130/GOLGA2 is at 113 kDa.

GM130/GOLGA2 was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of human colorectal adenocarcinoma tissue. The tissue section was incubated with rabbit anti-GM130/GOLGA2 Antibody (BM4035) at a dilution of 1:200 and developed using HRP Conjugated Rabbit IgG Super Vision Assay Kit (Catalog # SV0002) with DAB (Catalog # AR1027) as the chromogen.

Golgin subfamily A member 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GOLGA2 gene. The Golgi apparatus, which participates in glycosylation and transport of proteins and lipids in the secretory pathway, consists of a series of stacked cisternae (flattened membrane sacs). Interactions between the Golgi and microtubules are thought to be important for the reorganization of the Golgi after it fragments during mitosis. This gene encodes one of the golgins, a family of proteins localized to the Golgi. This encoded protein has been postulated to play roles in the stacking of Golgi cisternae and in vesicular transport. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of these variants has not been determined.
